Child Molestation and Statistics
What Do They Really Tell You?

We get many queries on statistics of child molestation. What you have to remember is that these statistics whilst they can give you an idea, can not give you an accurate reading on the numbers.

There are too many variables that are thrown in together, as well as the fact that the laws in each state, let alone in each country, are different. What is an acceptable age in one state, is child molestation in another. (This disparity is within Western Countries as well as others.)

Not only are there discrepancies between the studies done, most of the studies are many years old, some a decade or more. Laws change, what is not viewed as child molestation one year, may well be viewed as such in the next year. Together with this, numbers are manipulated in such a way to suit who ever has an agenda at the time.

Some of the statistics quoted on a vast number of websites have nothing to substantiate their information.

Those of you who are absorbed with them, realize they are not giving you a true indication of, or proving anything. However we realize that many of you are researching for your studies, so we wish you luck in your search.
